Schinny Night in Canada – October 13 – Toronto
Our first Shinny Night in Canada – let the kids play – will be held this October 13 from 4 PM in downtown Toronto.
1. What are our goals:
We are Sport; We are Hockey; We are Canada! We need Canada and the World to know that our kids do not belong to sports federations and to governmental agencies! Our kids should be able to play, learn and assemble without condition. Our Shinny Night in Canada event is an all inclusive event; We will not participate in discrimination nor segregation! Vaccinated or Unvaccinated, both parents and kids are all welcome to attend our event. It is a well-known fact that COVID-19 has very little effect on our kids and they are at extremely low risk of spreading and transmitting it. It makes no sense to mandate any form of COVID vaccination on them. The vaccinations do not stop the spread nor transmission so it makes very little sense to mandate it on anyone, PRO-CHOICE is our stance! It is essential for the physical and mental health of the children, including teenagers, to exercise, to play sports and to socialize. We want to make it clear to Canadians, and to the World, that kids will continue to play, despite all the non-sensical measures that are imposed. The kids are united and are the future of hockey; the future of sports; and, the future of Canada!
2. What the event is:
Shinny Night in Canada will be an all-inclusive family event. Several games of 3 v 3 street hockey games will be played at once. Teams will be organized of 6-9 players each and substitutions will take place every 2-3 minutes for equal game play. The kids that are not hockey inclined will be able to play their own games of basketball. We expect to be live streaming the games so that the world will be able to enjoy the cheers, the laughter and the fun comradery that team play ultimately brings about. The event will be held out front of the ScotiaBank Arena on Bremner Blvd and York St – commonly known as Maple Leaf Way. Sign in begins at 4pm. We hope to have everyone signed in and games organized and ready for ball drop at approximately 5pm. We will have special celebrity appearances, photo opportunities, speakers and music for your enjoyment.

4. Let your kids play – How to register:
Please go to the website GameOnCanada.org, Click on Players Registration tab at the top of the page. Fill a separate Registration Form for each child that intends on playing hockey. Registration is free and inclusive. Basketball play will be open for anyone that comes down to the event, registration is not necessary. Please be respectful to the kids that want to play games of 21 or Around the World at the nets. The day of the event, please go to the Sign-in Booth so that we know your child has arrived and we can let you know which “road arena” they will be playing on.
5. How to help as a volunteer:
We will need approximately 100 volunteers. If you are available from 2pm until the end of the event (approximately 10pm) then please go to the website GameOnCanada.org and click on the Volunteers Registration tab at the top of the page. Fill out the registration form and include any special skills ie. First aid/cpr, videography, referee etc that you may have that would help us out at the event.
We are looking for about 10 videographers with their own equipment that would be willing to donate their time filming the event and live streaming it to our video screens and across social media platforms.
6. How to help financially:
We have many amazing volunteers working on making this day an incredible experience for our kids. Unfortunately, we will incur financial expenses to make this event one to remember for your kids. We are looking at approximately $20,000 to cover the rentals of the sound system, LCD screen, trucks, nets, port-a-potties, loot bags, balls etc. If you are able to help financially, please donate on our website GameOnCanada.org by clicking on the link Shinny Night in Canada – Donate.
